    12 Week Accelerator

The 12 week accelerator is based on the Techstars proven programme that's used by accelerators all over the world.

    Fees: $2,500 per person

Month 1: Mentors, business model validation and customer development

In the first month of the programme, teams learn how to work in the MIH environment and are immersed in mentorship. Through extensive mentor sessions, teams validate their business model and pivot if needed. Teams also identify their customer and create a minimum viable product (MVP).
Speaker and workshop topics in the first month include:
    team building/working protocols
    lean start-up
    customer engagement
    product strategy, design and development
    growth hacking
    pitching/communications techniques

Month 2: Product build, traction, and revenue

In the second month of the programme, teams spend most of their time validating MVP prototypes in the market. Teams also begin to build their story and proof points for the investor presentation at Demo Day.
Speaker and workshop topics in the second month include:
    product development
    IP protection
    revenue/financial modeling

Month 3: Pitch, investment readiness, Demo Day

Teams prepare for Demo Day while squeezing out as much traction/revenue in the market as possible. Teams will structure and practice their pitch daily while receiving feedback from mentors, alumni and specialists. Speaker and workshop topics in the third month include:
    ~ growth hacking
    ~ pitching/communications techniques
    ~ investor relations
    ~ valuations
    ~ Demo Day

Demo Day is the culmination of the most active phase of the programme and the showcase for the teams to the stakeholders, investors, sponsors and community at large. Each team gets 10 minutes to pitch their company in front of an auditorium of key people. The pitches are followed by a social gathering with Angel investors in which teams get to provide more detail.

Diversity and Inclusion by SEVENmile Manly Venture Lab

    6 Day Intensive Accelerator

The Diversity & Inclusion program is designed for people who have recently migrated to the northern beaches and for who English is a second language. We’re searching for the most ambitious, game-changing enterprises led by migrants and refugees in the northern beaches.

Note: this program is only available when the entire program is sponsored by government or private sponsor.

The D&I program operates over 12 months in three stages:

The startups we select go through a 6 day accelerator where their business models are validated and they are equipped with the tools they need to turn their startups into viable ventures.

The format is face-to-face workshops in our Seaforth Community Centre location followed by access to up to 12 months of support.

Fees: the goal is to have the program sponsored so no fees are charged.

    Accelerator workshop agenda:

    Day 1 - validate problem

Day 2 - validate customer persona

Day 3 - solution design - first pitch

Day 4 - develop business model hyphotheses

Day 5 - identify and talk to early adopters - second pitch

Day 6 - demo day - present the final pitch deck to a panel of judges

Monthly half-day workshops and optional telephone/email support over the 12 months following the Accelerator.
